Must Do Adventure

Our day began with a pick up by Keli from SuperJeep Iceland. The 6 person passenger limit was a plus. Everyone got to know each other and we were able to make an extra stop for mushroom soup. The snowmobiling was safe and a lot of fun. The trip to the Secret Lagoon was a relaxing follow up to a windy morning on the glacier.

Great day out snowmobiling!

This tour was 100% the highlight of our Iceland trip, the Ford F350 is an absolute beast and was very fun to travel in, our guide Yngvi was awesome (now beginning to doubt whether I have remembered his name correctly after only a week since the trip, if so then my apologies man - classic British fail on my part here!), the off-road portion from Gullfoss to the glacier base was great fun, the snowmobiling itself was really great, the instructors made everything clear, we loved it and the views were insane, seeing the moon and the sun on a clear day across the horizon with all kinds of scenery was beautiful. It would’ve been great if a longer session was possible but i enjoyed it nonetheless. I don’t know why but I expected it to be a smoother ride but instead i found it to be a lot like riding a dirt bike, albeit heavier and harder to turn with my wife as a passenger who decides to counterbalance rather than lean into turns with you lol. I would love to do it again someday. The secret lagoon after was a nice way to warm up and relax a bit, made us all very sleepy on the way back to the city. Saw some reviews that said the trip was expensive, and yes of course it is, like everything else in Iceland, but I found it to be well worth it and is a life experience I won’t soon forget! How often can you say you got to go snowmobiling on a glacier?! Thanks so much for a great day!

THE ICE 8 LEGEND

Absolutely fantastic! The man driving the bus in Ice 8 was a complete and utter legend. He is very knowledgeable and made the experience 10 x better than it would have been. We miss him already. Snowmobiling & secret lagoon was a great experience we will never forget. Thank you very much.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What do I need to bring with me?
For the Snowmobile portion of the tour you will be supplied with overalls, gloves, balaclavas and a helmet. Entrance to the Secret Lagoon is included but take your Swimwear and towels with! The tour will stop at a café where you can buy lunch but you are also welcome to bring it with you. We recommend good outdoor clothing, sturdy shoes and a reusable water bottle.
  • What is the Cancellation Policy?
If you need to cancel, no problem! Just let us know with more then a 24 hours notice before the tour starts and that way we can cancel and give you a full refund.
  • Does this tour still work during winter with limited daylight?
During the winter months in Iceland, we experience shorter daylight hours. However, this tour is remarkably well-timed. You'll depart from the city in the dark, reach the attractions just as daylight begins, and start your journey back to Reykjavik as dusk approaches!
  • Are there bathrooms stops during the tour?
Yes! There are several restroom stops on this tour!
  • Are there any physical requirements?
This tour is considered to be easy since the snowmobile part is not to strenuous and even easy for people who have never ridden a snowmobile. However it is located up on a glacier so do keep that in mind!
  • I can't find my hotel on the pickup list?
No worries at all! Simply send us the name of your hotel/airbnb location via email (either through the contact form on our website or directly at info@wakeupreykjavik.com) and we'll get back to you right away with the best possible pick up choice for you :)
  • Ok, I'm in. Now what?
Fantastic! We have a feeling that you'll love this experience! To secure your tickets, you'd simply press the orange 'Book Now / Check Availability' button: Select how many are in your group, choose your dates and fill in the details to complete the booking - super simple! (We recommend booking with as much notice as possible)
